We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to take ownership of our cloud infrastructure and embed a security-first mindset into our operations. Reporting to our Senior Technical Lead, you will join a close-knit group of engineers and scientists who enjoy solving real problems together.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own the Cloud: Manage, secure, and evolve our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
  • Automate Everything: Design, build, and maintain our CI/CD pipelines to ensure secure, efficient, and reliable software delivery.
  • Secure by Design: Act as the technical security champion. You will manage and enhance our security posture by maintaining secure firewall configurations, managing vulnerability scanning and patch management processes, and implementing robust monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Maintain Uptime and Resilience: Monitor system and application health, responding to incidents and working with development teams on remediation.
  • Drive Best Practices: Implement and manage infrastructure change control, ensuring all modifications are secure, tested, and documented.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven Experience: You have a strong background as a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Security Engineer, with demonstrable experience in a hands-on capacity.
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Expertise: You have experience managing production workloads in GCP.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): You are proficient with Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
  • Security Mindset: You have practical experience with vulnerability management, firewall configuration, security monitoring tools, and embedding security into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Automation & Scripting Skills: You are comfortable scripting in languages like Python or Bash to automate tasks.
  • Pragmatic Problem-Solver: You are a self-starter who can work autonomously, take ownership of complex problems, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Location: You are based in Europe and are comfortable working remotely.
