Overview

In this hands-on DevOps role, you will design, build and operate Azure and AWS environments, focusing on automation, IaC, CI/CD, observability and cost efficiency. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, scalable cloud platforms and reusable patterns. You’ll help evolve AI-enabled workloads and dynamic deployments while reducing toil and improving developer experience. This is a chance to shape cloud engineering practices and drive impactful improvements across the delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Design and operate resilient multi-cloud infrastructure (Azure and AWS) and reusable deployment patterns
  • Drive automated provisioning with IaC (Terraform and cloud templates) and ensure policy-driven controls
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and automate testing, security scanning and deployments
  • Support containerised workloads with Docker and managed Kubernetes platforms (AKS, EKS, ECS, Azure Container Apps)
  • Enhance observability, incident response, backup, recovery and disaster recovery planning
  • Partner with security to embed IAM, RBAC, secrets management, and secure configurations
  • Champion Cloud FinOps with cost visibility, tagging standards and right-sizing initiatives
  • Develop self-service platform capabilities and golden paths for developer teams
  • Contribute to AI workload readiness and evolving cloud practices for AI-enabled applications

Key requirements

  • Hands-on multi-cloud experience on Azure and AWS
  • Proficiency in declarative IaC (Terraform) and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
  • Delivery and source control expertise with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, Git and pipelines
  • Knowledge of cloud networking, IAM/RBAC, workload identities and secure cloud configuration
  • Observability and reliability experience with monitoring, logging, incident response and recovery
  • Cloud FinOps understanding with cost optimization and forecasting
  • Agile collaboration and strong communication with cross-functional teams
