We are growing fast and looking for a driven, motivated Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join the team and build a long-term career in recruitment. You will be based out of our Bournemouth office with the opportunity for hybrid work on completion of probationary period.

Role Overview

As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, you will be trained to become a full 360 recruiter, supporting the full recruitment lifecycle including candidate sourcing, screening, client support, and eventually business development. This role is ideal for someone who is hungry to learn, confident on the phone, and wants a high-performance career with clear progression and uncapped earning potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and source engineering professionals using LinkedIn, job boards, CV databases and referrals
  • Approach candidates through calls, messages and email campaigns
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of active and passive candidates
  • Learn how to market candidates effectively to clients
  • Conduct initial screening interviews and assess suitability
  • Support candidates through the process: briefings, interview prep, updates and offer management
  • Ensure a strong candidate experience from first contact to placement
  • Keep internal systems up to date (CRM / ATS tracking)
  • Support senior consultants with job intake calls and role qualification
  • Assist in producing shortlists for aviation engineering vacancies
  • Communicate professionally with clients, confirming availability, interview logistics and feedback
  • Learn the aviation industry terminology, roles, and contract structures
  • Learn how to win new business and develop client accounts
  • Shadow experienced team members on client calls
  • Progress into managing client relationships and delivering full recruitment solutions

Training & Progression

You will receive structured training covering:

  • Recruitment fundamentals (resourcing, calls, screening, compliance)
  • Aviation engineering market knowledge
  • Candidate control and process management
  • Commercial training: negotiation, client development, objection handling

  • Interest in aviation, engineering, or technical markets
  • Previous customer-facing / sales / telesales experience
