The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.
To actively and effectively monitor and react to control room systems and alerts that include CCTV, fire alarms, and other activations. Ensure duties are carried out in accordance with policy and procedures.
Monitor and react to safety and security matters including those raised by staff or visitors. Occasionally carry out Close Protection opportunities if qualified. Occasionally carry out other security functions on site. 12-hour days and nights shift pattern.
Responsibilities:- Operate and monitor on a day-to-day basis the CCTV functions, fire and security systems, ensuring all systems are operable, complete regular system checks, panic alarm checks reporting any faults.
- Ensure safety and security and react to any incidents as required, searching, downloading and maintaining as required. Complete incident reports as required, including the completion of a daily handover.
- Carry out duties in accordance with policy and procedure, assisting staff and colleagues as required in a professional and customer-focused manner.
- Monitor and operate radio, telephone or other communication systems as required.
- Monitor and operate the building access control system assisting the supervisor to ensure access control for persons and vehicles is maintained to the highest standard.
- Occasionally undertake patrols, inspections or other security-related functions in accordance with management instructions when required.
- Issue and monitor visitor or other access passes and keys as required.
- Attend awareness briefings and training.
- Maintain a sense of vigilance and awareness promoting a security-minded culture.
Work a 12-hour shift pattern of days and nights.
Requirements:- Experience of working in a security control room with current CCTV SIA licence.
- Experience of managing or working in a supervisory capacity of a Security Control Room.
- Experience of working in fast-paced media or similar security environment.
- Experience of liaising with the Emergency Services.
- Evidence of mid-level security qualifications.
- Current SIA license including CCTV. SIA Close Protection preferred but not essential.
- Evidence of current First Aid skills.
