Location: Farnborough/Newbury, or regional site (Birmingham, Livingston, Bristol, Northern Ireland) – Hybrid working.
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits.
Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday.
Duration: 8 months.
Security Clearance: This position requires ability to obtain and hold SC (Security Clearance).
Hybrid Working: Work both in the office and at home. You are expected to come into the office 2‑3 days each week, for at least 8 days per month. Work with your line manager to understand expectations for your role and team.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead end‑to‑end design of network solutions aligned to customer architecture principles and business requirements.
- Produce and maintain high‑level and low‑level design documentation (HLD/LLD) with accuracy, traceability, and compliance with security and operational standards.
- Ensure designs meet security, compliance and operational readiness requirements, supporting governance and design approvals.
- Support planning, testing and phased rollout of network solutions, ensuring designs are deliverable, validated and ready for operational handover.
- Manage stakeholder engagement and design governance, communicating progress, risks and decisions to internal and external parties.
Who You Are:
- Strong experience designing enterprise network solutions, ideally with Fortinet (FortiGate, SD‑WAN, IPSec/ADVPN) – Essential.
- Solid understanding of IP networking and secure design principles, including WAN/LAN, routing and segmentation – Essential.
- Proven experience producing HLD/LLD documentation, focusing on clarity, accuracy and alignment to standards – Essential.
- Knowledge of security, compliance and operational readiness requirements, including testing, assurance and service handover – Essential.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to clearly articulate designs, risks and decisions to technical and non‑technical audiences – Essential.
- Candidate must obtain and maintain SC level security clearance.
