We are seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to support global trade compliance processes by reviewing escalations from first‑line screening activities. The role focuses on assessing potential compliance risks, conducting due diligence on entities and transactions, and ensuring adherence to international sanctions and export control regulations.

What You’ll Do

  • Review and investigate escalations from first‑line trade compliance screening to determine true or false matches.
  • Conduct detailed due diligence on target entities, including ownership and control structures, and prepare accurate organisational charts.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather, validate, and analyse transaction and entity‑related information.
  • Assess regulatory restrictions by reviewing relevant sanctions and export control regimes to determine business impact or licence requirements.
  • Escalate confirmed true matches to the relevant centre of excellence for decision‑making.
  • Document assessments, findings, and decisions clearly and consistently.
  • Provide oversight of first‑line activities to ensure quality and compliance standards are maintained.
  • Monitor updates to global sanctions and export control regulations (e.g., OFAC, EU, UN).
  • Support continuous improvement of trade compliance screening processes.
  • Execute data control processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.
  • Respond to queries promptly while maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date records.
  • Undertake additional job‑related activities aligned to business needs.

Who You Are

  • Demonstrated experience (3–5 years) in compliance, investigations or risk management.
  • Strong understanding of export control and global sanctions frameworks.
  • Experience conducting detailed due diligence on complex organisational structures.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and evaluate transactional risks.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills with internal stakeholders.
  • Professional certifications such as ICA, CGSS or CAMS are advantageous.
  • Experience within a shared services or telecommunications environment is beneficial.
