Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits.

Working hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday.

What You’ll Do: You’ll play a key role in winning and retaining business for Vodafone—right at the centre of shaping compelling customer proposals. As a Proposal Specialist, you’ll bring together ideas, insights, and expertise from across the business to create high-quality, persuasive content that clearly demonstrates the value of our solutions. Working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, you’ll manage multiple bids while continuously improving how we tell our story and win complex opportunities. In this role, you will:

  • Manage end-to-end proposal development, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality, customer-focused submissions.
  • Plan and coordinate multiple bids simultaneously, aligning with governance, timelines, and cross-functional inputs.
  • Create, edit, and refine compelling proposal content that clearly translates Vodafone solutions into customer value.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Finance, Legal, Technology, and other teams to gather inputs and shape winning responses.
  • Lead storyboard sessions and guide stakeholders on response structure, messaging, and win themes.
  • Drive proposal reviews (including red/gold reviews), incorporating feedback to strengthen submissions.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the content library, ensuring reuse of best-in-class materials.
  • Analyse bid performance and metrics, capturing lessons learned to enhance future success.
  • Conduct market research to support bid strategy and solution positioning.
  • Build strong relationships with subject matter experts and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Produce high-quality, visually engaging proposal documents using advanced M365 tools.

Who You Are: Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in bid management or proposal writing. Strong track record of creating persuasive, customer-centric bid content. Good understanding of bid formats such as RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate value propositions. Strong attention to detail, with meticulous proofreading and quality control skills. Ability to translate complex solutions into clear, compelling customer benefits. Experience working collaboratively across multiple functions and stakeholders. Commercially aware, with the ability to identify and articulate win themes. Good project management skills, able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with bid methodologies (e.g., Shipley) is advantageous. Strong presentation and visual storytelling skills, including use of graphics. A collaborative team player who is open to sharing knowledge, mentoring others, and continuously improving. Degree in business, marketing, communications or related field, or equivalent certifications (e.g., APMP).
