About This Role
Location: Paddington or Newbury
We are seeking an experienced MultiāCloud Infrastructure Architect to design and deliver secure, scalable, and costāefficient cloud solutions for VCloudSmart, Vodafone's internal SaaS platform for multiācloud cost governance and optimisation. This role involves working with AWS, GCP, and Azure, ensuring compliance with Vodafone architectural standards, and driving innovation in cloud enablement and FinOps tooling. You will collaborate with agile squads, partner with cloud providers, and mentor team members while shaping the architecture for largeāscale, multiācloud environments.
What You'll Do
- Design, prototype, and deliver endātoāend cloud solutions using AWS and GCP native services
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for automated, versionācontrolled environments
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, AWS CodeBuild, or GCP Cloud Build
- Implement ETL processes for data ingestion, transformation, and optimisation; write efficient SQL queries
- Create automation scripts and internal tools using Python and Bash to streamline operations
- Ensure security compliance and governance across multiācloud environments
- Partner with cloud suppliers to implement cuttingāedge technologies at scale
- Integrate architecture with Vodafone Group Security guidelines
- Document architecture evolution and provide technical guidance to junior team members
- Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
Who You Are
- Proven expertise in cloud architecture and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
- Handsāon experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Skilled in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
- Strong scripting and automation skills in Python and Bash
- Experience designing SaaS cloud architecture and consuming RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with monitoring tools, CI/CD pipelines, and Linux/Unix environments
- Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills in an agile environment
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Exposure to AI/ML products is a plus
