The Cambridge Center for Adult Education (CCAE) is seeking proposals from creative, enthusiastic, and experienced visual arts and craft instructors for workshops and classes for adults. CCAE is located in Harvard Square and offers affordable, experiential, face-to-face learning for a diverse community. We are offering both in-person and online classes, with programs designed to fit a range of lengths and schedules.

Responsibilities / What You Will Do

  • Propose and design new classes in visual arts and crafts aligned with your expertise.
  • Deliver engaging workshops and courses to adult learners, either in person or online.
  • Collaborate with the program director to determine class length, schedule, and delivery format.
  • Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

  • Previous teaching experience preferred
  • Extensive knowledge in your area of specialization
  • BA or equivalent experience
  • Punctual and reliable

We run nearly 2,000 classes over 4 terms, taught by over 200 professionals who are experts in their fields. We own and operate two historically preserved properties in Harvard Square.
