We are seeking a skilled and reliable Temporary Cabler to support our engineering team at HPC. This role is essential to the successful delivery of our communications infrastructure, working alongside Senior Field Engineers to install and maintain structured cabling systems across a high-profile, secure site.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, route, and terminate copper and fibre optic cabling to industry standards.
- Assist with the setup of network infrastructure, including cable trays, patch panels, and cabinets.
- Conduct basic testing and fault-finding of installed cabling.
- Work collaboratively with engineers and site teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of cabling tasks.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety and adhere to site protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience in structured cabling installation (data, voice, fibre).
- Familiarity with working on large infrastructure or construction projects.
- ECS/CSCS card (essential).
- Manual handling and working at height certifications (preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret cabling plans and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Desirable
- Experience working in secure or regulated environments (e.g., nuclear, defence, data centres).
- Knowledge of cable testing equipment and procedures.
