We are seeking an experienced and innovative academic to lead the ongoing development and delivery of a postgraduate module focused on coaching, mentoring and professional practice. The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to shape a postgraduate module that explores coaching, mentoring, performance development and professional practice within a multidisciplinary context.

The successful candidate will lead curriculum development, teaching, assessment and module enhancement, while contributing to wider academic activities across the organisation. We are particularly interested in applicants who can synthesise insights from their discipline to develop intellectually rigorous and professionally relevant learning experiences.

The role includes:

  • Leading the design, review and enhancement of a postgraduate-level module.
  • Delivering engaging online teaching and facilitating scholarly discussion.
  • Supervising and supporting postgraduate students.
  • Marking assessments and contributing to moderation and second marking processes.
  • Contributing to curriculum innovation and programme development.
  • Supporting academic quality assurance processes.
  • Collaborating with colleagues on research, scholarship and educational projects.
  • Contributing to the development of new academic programmes and short courses where appropriate.

Essential Criteria

  • A Master's degree and doctoral qualification (completed or near completion) in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience of teaching in higher education.

  • Experience of curriculum design and development.
  • Ability to support students studying at postgraduate level.
  • Strong scholarly and critical thinking skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive and student-centred education.
  • Ability to work effectively within a remote academic environment.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience of online teaching and learning.
  • Experience of module leadership.
  • Experience of supervising postgraduate research projects.
  • Publications, research activity or professional practice within a relevant field.
  • Experience of assessment design, moderation and quality assurance.
