The Team The Agent Engineering team deploys mission‑critical AI agents to our customers, impacting millions of users and directly driving Decagon’s growth.
The Role On the Agent Engineering team, you’ll own and ship best‑in‑class AI agents from implementation through continuous iteration.
You’ll solve users’ needs for leaders across finance, healthcare, and hospitality, building scalable solutions for millions of users.
Responsibilities Design and build AI agents outperforming human agents in managing complex customer interactions and driving retention.
Identify cross‑customer trends to guide platform evolution and research.
Experiment with and evaluate the latest text and voice models, integrating them at scale with large enterprise customers.
Qualifications3+ years industry experience in software engineering.
Proficiency with Python, Type Script, and asynchronous programming.
Comfort digging into system failures within deep technology stacks using any necessary tools.
Preferred Experience Experience with multi‑modal models.
