With the expansion of our operations in Scotland, we are now looking for a Senior Fleet Specialist Team Lead who will be responsible for leading our warehouse and in-field operations in Aberdeen.
Your mission at Voi: As a Senior Team Lead, you will manage a Fleet Specialists team and ensure a high quality of service for our users and cities. You will do this by ensuring the efficient execution of tasks related to maintaining, repairing, transporting, and repositioning vehicles, as well as swapping batteries. You will divide your time between managerial duties (hiring, training, performance follow-ups of the team) and performing operative tasks (in-warehouse or in-field) based on the business needs of the site.
Key Responsibilities:- Team Management: Conduct one-on-ones, performance reviews, coaching, and training for Fleet Specialists.
- Inventory & Asset Management: Oversee spare parts and battery inventory, manage physical assets like vehicles and facilities, and ensure optimal usage.
- Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, manage onboarding, and monitor mandatory training.
- Incident & Contractor Management: Record and investigate incidents, and oversee repairs and maintenance in the warehouse.
- 3PL & Van Coordination: Manage daily communication with 3PL partners and oversee operational aspects of vans (tracking devices, not budgeting/planning).
- Operational Excellence & Fleet Maintenance: Maximise vehicle uptime, perform maintenance, and extend fleet lifetime to maintain high standards.
- Warehouse & Shift Management: Assist in warehouse operations (receiving, packing, deploying vehicles) and organise shifts to ensure team performance.
- Recruitment & Training: Interview, train, and engage Fleet Specialists for continuous operation.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety procedures in all activities.
What you need to be: We are looking for a pragmatic and responsible team-player who can fulfil tasks, solve problems independently, and work as part of a team to find new solutions and reach set goals. In addition to being fluent in English, the right person will need:
- 2+ years of previous work experience.
- Experience managing a team of people.
- A UK Full UK Driving License with a maximum of 6 points for minor offences and no major offences, and meet the requirements for our e-Van insurance. You may be required to drive one of our e-Vans occasionally.
- General understanding of digital work tools (MS-Office, G-Suite).
Job Conditions: Note: our Talent Acquisition is based in Spain; you may receive a phone call from a Spanish number. Working hours: Middle Shift. Shift pattern: Weekly rotation (some weekends may be required). Contract type: Permanent.
Why Voi: Working at Voi is more than just a job; our People Promise includes a personal journey where you will grow as a professional and be part of a team and culture that builds something meaningful for society. You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Join Europe’s #1 micromobility company and one of the fastest-growing scaleups.
- Have a direct impact on our continued success and the development of the micromobility industry in the Scottish region.
- Work with inspiring, motivated and fun colleagues toward a common goal.
- Join the micromobility-revolution and be part of creating sustainable cities made for living, free from noise and pollution.
