We are currently seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead our team of Fleet Specialists in Portsmouth.
Your Mission at Voi
As a Shift Lead, you will manage a team of Fleet Specialists, spending approximately 80% of your time performing field tasks (such as vehicle deployment and collection), and 20% on managerial duties (hiring, training, performance follow-ups). This position is a 4-month fixed-term contract to cover a current employee on paternity leave.
Your Responsibilities
- Vehicle Utilization: Out on the streets, deploying and collecting scooters with a hands-on approach.
- Logistics: Assisting with receiving, packing, and deploying new vehicles.
- Team Management: Creating shift plans, supervising activities, and enhancing processes to meet performance standards.
- Quality Standards: Ensuring vehicles are well-maintained, properly parked, and accounted for.
- Talent Development: Interviewing, training, and nurturing Fleet Specialists for ongoing operational success.
- Planning: Collaborating with managers to optimize work schedules and shift planning.
What You Need to Embark
We seek a pragmatic, responsible team player who can work independently and collaboratively. Fluency in English is required. Additionally, you should have:
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Experience managing a team
- A Full UK Driving License with no major offenses and a maximum of 6 points for minor offenses, meeting e-Van insurance requirements (occasional driving of e-Vans may be needed)
- Proficiency with digital tools (MS Office, G-Suite)
Job Conditions
- Workdays: 5 out of 7
- Shift hours: 8:00 – 16:00 (day shift)
- Weekly rotation, including some weekends
- Contract: 4 months fixed-term
