The Fleet Specialist position involves working across two main operational areas, with tasks allocated by the Team Lead based on business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair Voi scooters in the mechanical team to keep them in excellent condition.
- Provide crucial support to colleagues in the field.
- Use company vans to carry out tasks around the London area, ensuring operations run safely, smoothly and reliably for riders.
- Logistics of collecting and deploying Voi scooters.
- Search for and collect damaged scooters.
- Replace batteries so vehicles are always ready to ride.
- Perform quick on-site repairs of scooters.
- Diagnose and repair broken vehicles.
- Recycle and dismantle vehicles that cannot be repaired.
- Assist with acceptance, packaging and preparation of new vehicles and batteries arriving at the warehouse.
- Support the on-site team as needed – e.g., identifying damaged vehicles, clearing parking spaces or setting up fallen vehicles.
Qualifications:
- Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months, with no more than 6 points and no major offences, to meet e-van insurance requirements.
- Good knowledge of your city and comfortable driving there.
- Responsible team player who can manage tasks independently and also enjoys working together with others.
- Willingness to share knowledge, support colleagues and contribute to a positive, respectful team culture.
- Practical, solution-oriented mindset to get things done and help the team reach its goals.
- Comfortable navigating the city in a van in different weather and traffic conditions.
- Ability to stay calm and courteous in stressful situations (e.g., poor parking, traffic).
- Physical condition that allows you to safely handle and move scooters and batteries, using the equipment and support provided.
