Vogue Sourcing is an exciting fast-paced and dynamic fashion supplier based in Old Trafford. We are searching for a Fabric Sourcing Manager to lead the end-to-end sourcing and development of fabrics across multiple product categories, ensuring commerciality, quality, sustainability, and speed-to-market.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively source fabrics globally, ensuring competitiveness on price, quality, MOQs, sustainability and lead times.
- Manage and grow relationships with mills in key regions.
- Ensure mills meet compliance, testing and ethical standards in line with client and business requirements.
- Negotiate pricing, capacity, and delivery schedules to support business needs.
- Identify and develop new fabric qualities aligned to seasonal trends and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with design, production and merchandising teams to deliver fabric concepts that meet client briefs.
- Oversee fabric performance requirements, and compliance to meet retailer standards.
- Troubleshoot fabric issues quickly and effectively, working with mills and technical teams to resolve problems.
- Maintain accurate fabric library, specifications, and costing files.
- Support margin improvement by identifying cost-efficient fabric opportunities, negotiating core and volume buys on a seasonal basis.
- Monitor global fabric trends, fibre price movements, and market dynamics.
ABOUT YOU:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in fabric sourcing or textile development within a fashion supplier, manufacturer, or retailer.
- Strong experience working with UK or European retail clients, ideally Next or similar.
- Established global mill network and deep understanding of fabric manufacturing processes.
- Strong knowledge of woven/knit fabric structures, yarns, dyeing, finishing, sustainability and testing standards.
- Ability to travel internationally.
- Commercial mindset with strong negotiation and cost-management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, able to present confidently to senior retail stakeholders.
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple developments at pace.
