About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple mechanical installation and maintenance projects from inception through to completion.
Reporting to the Group Managing Director/Contracts Director, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget while maintaining excellent relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
Key responsibilities include
- Managing mechanical installation and maintenance contracts from pre-construction through to completion.
- Carrying out site surveys and supporting estimating and quotation preparation.
- Planning, coordinating and monitoring project programmes.
- Managing subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation, CDM regulations, RAMS and company procedures.
- Monitoring project costs, variations and commercial performance.
- Attending client meetings and acting as the main point of contact throughout project delivery.
- Producing accurate project reports and participating in resource planning and WIP meetings.
- Managing project handover, completion and agreement of final accounts.
- Maintaining high standards of quality, customer service and technical delivery.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager, Mechanical Project Manager or similar role within the building services or mechanical contracting industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical installations and commercial project delivery.
- Excellent commercial awareness and cost management skills.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation, CDM Regulations and safe working practices.
- Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Desirable qualifications
- HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
- SMSTS, IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
