Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits

Working hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday

Join our Vodafone Business Technology Solutions team, where we support businesses of all sizes with world-class technology solutions. We design and develop our Fixed Line solutions, drive efficiency through automation and AI, and implement it all directly with our customers.

As a Technical Specialist within our Fixed Data Services (FDS) team, you'll play a key role in delivering and supporting customer connectivity solutions across VodafoneThree's MSP, ITN and legacy MPLS networks. Working at the heart of our IP and Data operations, you'll be responsible for the remote configuration, commissioning and validation of customer services, helping to ensure seamless delivery and an exceptional customer experience.

The FDS team supports the provisioning of VodafoneThree's core IP and Data products while providing associated remote access, transmission build activities, Layer 1, 2 and 3 testing, and customer reporting services. Depending on your area of deployment, you'll take ownership of a range of these activities while remaining flexible and adaptable to support wider operational priorities.

Collaborating closely with fellow Technical Specialists and operational teams, you'll help drive quality and consistency through the development of local work instructions, knowledge sharing and technical coaching across the engineering community. You'll also provide technical expertise to support the delivery of complex customer solutions, contribute to the introduction of new products and technologies, and assist with the implementation of new processes and systems.

A key aspect of the role will be maintaining the accuracy and integrity of network inventory systems, databases and operational records, ensuring our services continue to meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Who you are:

  • Extensive telecommunications experience with a strong background in IP and data networking.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), VPNs and transmission technologies.
  • Experience working with MPLS networks and Quality of Service (QoS) within a service provider environment.
  • Knowledge of network provisioning, management and inventory systems.
  • Experience configuring and supporting multi-vendor network and firewall technologies.
