Role Overview

This role governs Vodafone Three’s commercial relationships with the Cellnex Towerco, overseeing £0.4bn annual spend.

It ensures strategic alignment, value creation, and effective governance across contractual, financial and performance dimensions, and leads on strategic and commercial discussions with Vodafone Three and Cellnex senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the commercial governance of contractual, financial, performance and relationship aspects of the Cellnex Towerco, with oversight of +£0.4bn of annual spend.
  • Represent Vodafone Three’s commercial position at contractual governance meetings, influence senior leaders at Cellnex, and prepare leadership teams for governance committees, producing financial collateral for senior stakeholder meetings and strategic decision‑making.
  • Develop a long‑term commercial strategy in collaboration with Business Owners for Cellnex, securing stakeholder outcomes, driving best value, and delivering incremental benefits to the joint business plan.
  • Act as commercial lead on any change, breaches or disputes related to the Cellnex EEBA/SA, MSA/TSA, Brunel and Pharos agreements.
  • Encourage a collaborative approach to identifying and addressing contract‑related challenges, fostering ownership of solutions among business owners and related budget impacts.
  • Hold business owners accountable for managing budgets, identifying potential overruns or savings, and communicating financial impacts clearly, building strong and sustainable relationships with stakeholders.
  • Lead strategic evaluation of contractual scope changes, working with business owners and consulting procurement, legal and finance expertise to support board recommendations and drive incremental value to the Vodafone Three Joint Business Plan.
  • Foster open and honest communication, building trust and transparency with stakeholders by actively listening to feedback and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Strategic Financial Governance Manager to maintain long‑term financial plans in line with latest strategic decisions.
  • Interface with T&O Commercial Finance and business functions to ensure alignment on budgets and long‑term plans, and to understand key deviations from plan.

  • Understanding of Tower Co commercial models in telecoms.
  • Experience managing contracts and strategic partnerships commercially.
  • Experience leading a cross‑functional team and challenging the status quo in decision‑making.
  • Experience influencing senior leaders within your organisation and across partner organisations, driving outcomes.
  • Skilled in financial planning, scenario financial modelling, procurement and governance.
