The Senior Finance Analyst is a key role in the FP&A team that is part of the cost efficiency vertical. You will have ownership of the intercompany month end and forecast process and also work to support your line manager, help develop and support other members of your team as well as collaborate with key stakeholders in the wider business.

Your core responsibilities include:

  • Financial Reporting
    • Ensure that internal and external reporting deadlines (month end, forecasts and other regular reporting requirements) are met with minimal errors.
    • Leads on improving processes and efficiencies of outputs using the latest tools.
    • Lead on the co-ordination of relevant submissions and inputs into financial systems.
  • Financial Analysis
    • Validate the monthly results and produce variance analysis to budgets / forecasts, pulling out key drivers.
    • Report and distribute key trends to senior leaders, identifying risks & opportunities.
    • Be responsible for the tracking and co-ordination of performance and key initiatives across intercompany.
  • Forecasting and budgeting
    • Support your business partners with the completion of forecasts and budgets and act as a key analyst of spend, being able to challenge the cost control for intercompany.
    • Coordinate the production of the presentations for key forecasts through the consolidation of your areas into the wider cost picture.
    • Holistically, identify risks and opportunities and efficiencies across your area and work with business to understand and mitigate.
  • Business partnering
    • Excellent stakeholder management including within finance and the business, ability to manage expectations and solve issues, whilst providing solutions and recommendations.
    • Strong integration and understanding of the business area that you support as well as wider finance.
    • Ability to relay finance information to non-finance leaders in a clear, concise and relatable way.
    • Pull out key trends to affect change and improve business performance.
  • Adhoc Analysis
    • Conduct ad-hoc analysis for your area, exploring data and trends, to provide insights to the business and other relevant areas as needed.

Qualifications

  • Fully Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • 1 -2 years PQE.
  • Strong MS Excel skills (including filters, pivot tables, lookups and charts).
  • Ability to identify work requirements independently, seeking guidance part of the time.
  • Able to prioritise and deliver high quality/accurate/timely reporting.
  • Strong accounting and reporting skills with great attention to detail.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experienced in dealing with senior management and wider business.
