Location: Newbury or London + Hybrid

Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits

Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday

What You’ll Do: Reporting to the RAN Performance & Optimisation Senior Manager, the RAN Performance & Optimisation Ericsson Region Manager ensures the VodafoneThree RAN within the Ericsson region delivers stable, predictable and high quality performance for all customers. The role provides technical leadership across KPI governance, diagnostic insight, feature performance engineering and cross domain optimisation, ensuring the 2G/4G/5G multi vendor RAN performs at its best at all times. Working closely with RAN functions, Site Deployment, Planning, Operations, Core, Transport and Network Quality teams, the role provides visibility of the performance impact of all network activities and drives timely corrective actions. It also leads the execution of regional RAN optimisation initiatives across technologies, vendors and suppliers—including VMO2—ensuring best possible configurations, strong benchmarking outcomes and contribution to VodafoneThree’s Best Network ambitions.

  • Lead the Ericsson region RAN performance strategy, ensuring clear KPI governance, insights and proactive recommendations to drive predictability and sustained performance.
  • Govern performance of VMO2 hosted sites, ensuring visibility, risk management and targeted optimisation actions to support VF3s contractual obligations.
  • Own and manage the BIS/TTO performance readiness process for Nation Network Sites, ensuring delivery quality and service stability.
  • Provide performance oversight for major network changes, ensuring impacts are understood, mitigated and aligned with customer and stability KPIs.
  • Partner with Customer Insight to translate customer experience trends into network actions that reduce churn, deep detractors and improve NPS.
  • Lead internal RAN performance teams and manage suppliers responsible for performance analytics, forecasting and optimisation services.
  • Define benchmarking strategy and lead performance improvement plans to achieve market leading results and Best Network claims.
  • Responsible for the overall delivery of the programme of performance improvement activities within the region.
  • Drive regional RAN performance governance of vendors, ensuring consistent reporting, KPI adherence and alignment with national standards.
  • Oversee optimisation of new features across all technologies and vendors, ensuring stability, performance and operational readiness.
  • Coordinate RAN optimisation and feature deployment plans with Transmission, Core and device teams to ensure alignment with the overall network strategy.

Who You Are: Strong leadership background in mobile network performance, optimisation and service delivery in multi‑vendor environments. Expert understanding of 4G/5G RAN architecture, KPI frameworks, benchmarking methodologies and performance diagnostics. Proven experience leading teams and suppliers delivering RAN optimisation and analytics services. Deep knowledge of network rollout, feature introduction, performance assurance and service integration. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across Technology, Operations, Commercial and Customer functions. Demonstrated ability to develop data‑driven strategies, translate insights into action and deliver measurable outcomes. Experience managing commercial and supplier performance, ensuring value and delivery quality. Comfortable working in a complex, fast‑paced environment with competing demands and evolving technologies.
