Welcome to a place where you’re connected
At VodafoneThree, you won’t just start an apprenticeship, you’ll start shaping a future. From your very first day, you’ll be welcomed into a community that knows the value you bring, supported by experienced mentors who guide, encourage and challenge you. You’ll work on meaningful projects that help build the UK best network, all while developing your confidence, capability and skills.
Whatever path you’re stepping from – sixth form, college or a career change – this is where you take your next step with purpose. Here, you’ll find an environment built on collaboration, shared experience and teams who always have your back. This is a place where people know you, where your contribution matters and where you become part of something bigger.
What You’ll Do
You’ll join VodafoneThree’s network team – where our mission is to build the UK’s best network. We’ll connect millions of people and businesses across the country. Be part of the team that makes it all happen – simplifying, automating, and bringing better connectivity than ever before, with giga‑fast speed, to our customers.
As a Field Engineering apprentice, you’ll be right at the front line of our network, installing and maintaining cutting‑edge fixed line and mobile equipment, tackling faults at speed and keeping the UK connected. You’ll help VodafoneThree deliver a seamless, high‑performing network, disruption‑free.
- Build hands‑on technical skills from day one, supporting and maintaining the mobile network infrastructure and fixed‑line equipment that keep the country connected.
- Get fully immersed in field work, from manual handling to walking long distances and working across a variety of indoor and outdoor environments throughout the day.
- Grow your capability through continuous learning – develop your electrical and diagnostic skills while exploring future‑focused technologies such as drone operation and advanced network equipment.
- Work safely at heights, including on rooftops and ladders up to 3 metres. Safety is our top priority, so you’ll receive comprehensive training, regular health assessments and high‑quality PPE to ensure you’re confident and protected in every environment.
- Take ownership of your work as you progress. Once fully trained, you’ll manage your own schedule, work independently and make a real impact by solving technical challenges, boosting network performance and keeping customers connected as a trusted field expert.
Alongside your role, you’ll study toward a Level 3 Information Communications Technician apprenticeship, delivered by one of our trusted training partners.
Who You Are
- You put safety first, always making smart choices and keeping yourself and your colleagues safe.
- You enjoy figuring things out, whether that’s solving problems or learning new technical skills.
- Happy to travel as required with a flexible attitude to working hours, and ability to work safely at heights.
- As this role requires travel, you need to hold a clean driving licence.
- You must hold GCSE English & Maths at Grade 4/C or above by September 2026.
- Must meet UK Government apprenticeship levy funding eligibility requirements.
Field Based
As a field‑based member of our team, you’ll be out where the action happens. You’ll travel across your region, adapt to different environments, solve problems on the ground and help keep our customers connected. You’ll bring flexibility, a willingness to travel and the confidence to work independently in dynamic, real‑world settings. This role involves travelling as needed (sometimes long distances), working at heights, and taking part in a 24/7 shift pattern or a standby callout rota that may include weekdays, weekends and nights. A company van will be provided to support the required travel.
What We Offer
We care about our people’s success by offering great pay, bonuses, up to 28 days off plus bank holidays and paid time for charity work.
