What You’ll Do:
- You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of one of the UK’s most ambitious network transformations, helping build a safer, smarter, and more sustainable fleet.
- Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll lead end‑to‑end fleet operations while championing innovation, safety, and sustainability—making a real impact on both employee experience and customer outcomes.
- You’ll take ownership of the organisation’s fleet, managing operations end‑to‑end, from contracts to service delivery.
- You’ll oversee fleet agreements and employee benefit offerings, ensuring they are efficient, effective, and add real value.
- You’ll manage budgets across fleet contracts and service providers, ensuring strong financial control and optimisation.
- You’ll ensure full compliance across health & safety, operational standards, and financial regulations (including SOX).
- You’ll build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers, driving collaboration and consistent delivery.
- You’ll contribute to forward‑looking fleet strategies, shaping plans from 12 months up to 5 years.
- You’ll lead the rollout of electric vehicle infrastructure, supporting the journey toward net carbon zero.
- You’ll review and refine fleet contracts, driving simplification, trust, and better business outcomes.
- You’ll champion fleet safety, leading initiatives that embed a strong safety‑first culture across the organisation.
- You’ll support risk management forums and ensure robust reporting, training, and safety performance tracking.
Who You Are:
- You’ll bring solid experience in a similar fleet or operations management role.
- You’ll have strong knowledge of fleet contracts and experience working with a variety of fleet types.
- You’ll have a solid understanding of financial management, including budget ownership.
- You’ll have managed contracts with significant value (e.g., £3M+), demonstrating commercial awareness.
- You’ll be comfortable using Microsoft Office tools to manage data, reporting, and performance tracking.
- You’ll hold a full driving licence and be happy to travel nationally, including occasional overnight stays.
- You’ll be a confident communicator who can build strong relationships and influence stakeholders.
- You’ll be passionate about safety, sustainability, and driving meaningful change within a growing organisation.
