Security Clearance
This position requires the ability to obtain and hold clearance to SC level.
Hybrid Working
We offer a hybrid working approach that requires working from the office 2‑3 days each week for at least 8 days per month.
Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day operational support for live compliance and data platforms, keeping vital systems running reliably.
- Act as the first point of contact for users—logging, triaging, and managing incidents, issues, and service requests.
- Carry out initial fault diagnosis, resolve straightforward issues, and escalade more complex problems with clear insights.
- Monitor system health, alerts, and dashboards, spotting risks early and supporting proactive solutions.
- Support incident and problem management, helping restore services quickly and contributing to root‑cause analysis.
- Assist with system changes, maintenance, and fail‑over activities, ensuring platforms remain resilient and operational.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, stakeholders, and suppliers to co‑ordinate support and maintain service quality.
- Contribute to improving operational processes, documentation, and runbooks to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Build technical knowledge through hands‑on experience, mentoring, and continuous learning.
- Operate with a strong focus on security, compliance, and professionalism when handling sensitive systems and information.
Qualifications
- Foundational understanding or strong interest in cloud platforms, networks, data systems, or Linux/UNIX environments.
- Experience (or transferable skills) in supporting live systems, including incident handling, troubleshooting, and escalation.
- Comfortable working with complex systems and interested in how different technologies connect end‑to‑end.
- Clear and confident communicator capable of collaborating effectively across technical teams and stakeholders.
- Curious and proactive, with a willingness to learn and grow technical expertise over time.
- Calm under pressure, able to think logically and act methodically during incidents or service interruptions.
- Interest in telecommunications, large‑scale IT, or regulated environments.
- Understanding of the importance of security, compliance, and handling sensitive information with integrity.
- Team player who values collaboration and contributes positively to a supportive, inclusive environment.
- Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC) and ready to work in a role that requires high levels of trust and accountability.
