What You’ll Do
- Own and manage the end-to-end P&L for SMARTY, including revenue, costs, and unit economics, with clear accountability for performance delivery.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, ensuring robust financial outlooks aligned to commercial strategy.
- Own month-end performance reporting, delivering clear variance analysis, insight, and commentary on key drivers of performance.
- Proactively identify, track, and manage Risks & Opportunities (R&O), working closely with stakeholders to maximise opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Deliver high-quality performance insight and storytelling, translating financial data into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
- Act as a key finance partner to commercial and trading teams, influencing performance, strategy, and decision-making.
- Lead on business casing, investment appraisal, and post-investment reviews, ensuring strong financial returns and robust challenge of assumptions.
- Drive discussions on pricing, trading performance, and unit economics optimisation to support value creation.
- Provide insight into key value drivers, supporting optimisation of customer, revenue, and cost performance.
- Partner with FP&A and BI teams to enhance reporting, improve data visibility, and develop new insights.
- Support OpEx management and cost control, ensuring transparency and financial discipline across the business.
- Build strong, trusted relationships across finance and commercial teams to drive alignment and performance outcomes.
- Deliver ad-hoc analysis and support strategic initiatives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Who You Are
- A qualified finance professional (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) with strong commercial acumen and experience driving business performance in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly analytical, with advanced financial modelling capability and the ability to distil complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Proven experience in business partnering, with confidence influencing and constructively challenging senior commercial and non-finance stakeholders.
- A strong communicator and storyteller, able to present financial performance, risks, and opportunities in a clear and compelling way.
- Deep understanding of P&L management, forecasting, and the key drivers of revenue, cost, and profitability.
- Commercially minded, with a strong grasp of unit economics and value creation, and a passion for optimising trading performance.
- Skilled in business casing and investment appraisal, with the ability to challenge assumptions and ensure robust decision-making.
- Detail-oriented, with a focus on delivering high-quality, accurate outputs while maintaining a broader strategic perspective.
- A proactive self-starter with a problem-solving mindset and a drive to continuously improve processes and insight.
- Confident working in a dynamic, evolving environment, able to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
- Strong collaborator, building trusted relationships across finance, commercial, FP&A, and BI teams.
- Advanced user of Excel and highly confident in creating impactful PowerPoint presentations for senior stakeholders.
