As the Commercial Finance Lead – Three Trading, you will support the Senior Commercial Finance Manager in delivering consumer IRO performance (Inflow, Retention, Outflow & Migrations) for Three. You will work closely with Senior Commercial Managers, be accountable for day‑to‑day business partnering across Three Consumer Trading, support forecasting, risk & opportunity management and provide clear leadership to the Finance Analyst.
- Direct Commercial Support: Partner with Vodafone trading teams to optimise IRO results and monitor KPIs such as Inflow volumes and rates, handset/SIM mixes, pre‑to‑post values, churn and outflow rates.
- Trading Cadence: Attend all trading cadence cycles, including Monday Investment Forums and Tuesday/Friday Pre‑Trading and Trading meetings.
- Business Casing: Review and challenge business cases for Three across IRO, providing financial intelligence for tactical proposals, promotional periods and new device launches.
- Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs): Evaluate PIRs to ensure accurate storytelling and capture learnings for future decisions.
- Performance Optimisation: Continuously monitor and provide actionable insights to optimise Three IRO performance.
- Trading Analysis: Deliver routine month‑end, week‑on‑week and year‑on‑year variance analysis plus ad‑hoc deep dives.
- Forecasting Integrity: Scrutinise and challenge trading team forecast inputs for volume and rate accuracy.
- Weekly Outlooks: Manage the weekly outlook process and align with commercial teams before trading meetings.
- Risks & Opportunities (R&O) Management: Identify emerging R&O, align with commercial leads and ensure capture in the centralised register.
- Ad‑hoc Tasks: Perform other related tasks and support projects as needed to meet evolving needs of the finance team and broader business.
Qualifications:
- ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified accountant.
- Experience in a business‑partnering environment, supporting non‑finance commercial and trading teams (mobile & MBB).
- Advanced analytical skills and inquisitive nature.
- Experience in financial modelling and business casing with the ability to challenge commercial inputs.
- Strong communication, influencing skills and commercial mindset.
