The Legal Counsel/Regulatory Lead supports day‑to‑day regulatory activities within VodafoneThree, providing expert legal and regulatory advice across the consumer and enterprise businesses. The role ensures regulatory compliance for customer propositions and communications, embeds governance in commercial decision‑making, and acts as a trusted advisor to product, marketing and commercial teams.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, development and delivery of compliant customer journeys, propositions, and communications across consumer and business brands, ensuring compliance with Ofcom and CMA requirements.
- Draft, review and approve customer‑facing materials to meet business and regulatory requirements, providing specialist counsel on consumer law and regulation.
- Participate in proposition and pricing approval forums, identifying and managing regulatory and legal issues early.
- Support integration of Vodafone and Three products and systems, identifying regulatory risks and maintaining consistent compliance standards.
- Collaborate with Legal, Regulatory Policy, Product, Marketing and Operations to implement practical compliance solutions and foster a culture of proactive delivery.
- Assist in regulatory engagement, investigations and complaints; prepare legal responses and briefing materials.
- Help evolve playbooks, templates and guidance notes to improve consistency, efficiency and understanding of regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer or experienced regulatory advisor with expertise in UK consumer protection law and Ofcom regulatory frameworks.
- Strong understanding of telecoms products, customer journeys and the applicable legal frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to embed regulatory obligations into commercial and operational processes at scale, balancing compliance with business needs.
- Experience in regulatory enforcement, including complaints, investigations and dispute resolution.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing compliant product journeys and governance frameworks in complex legal/regulatory workstreams.
