What you’ll do A varied role supporting key Consumer parts of the Vodafone business, driving awareness of our brand purpose of connecting for a better future and bringing our position as The Nation’s Network to life through impactful PR and comms. Deliver engaging comms for Vodafone Consumer products and services that drive positive reputation uplift, in both the mobile and broadband space. Work in collaboration with the Brand and Go To Market teams to advise on the best communications plans and strategies and lead on material/creative idea development/executions that amplify Vodafone prop launches and campaigns and help position us as The Nation’s Network. Drive external comms activity that positions Vodafone as a leading employer (Best Place to Work) that enables its people to be the best they can be and provides the best possible service to its customers. Support the Strategic Comms and Sustainable Business teams with the delivery of purpose campaigns e.g. everyone.connected, as needed, offering expert counsel, creative PR thoughts and helping ensure the activity positions Vodafone to consumers as a company that uses its tech for good. Play a supporting role in delivering first class external comms campaigns for key brand partnerships including Glastonbury and Wimbledon. Contribution to PR plans, messaging framework, campaigns to support the brand team and overall UK business objectives and commercial targets towards ensuring a high and favourable image is sustained. Development of PR materials – press releases, press communications, editorial content, messaging materials, launch plans, statements, blogs, photocalls for traditional and social media channels. Creative briefs for agencies. Implementation of PR activity on-budget and meeting sometimes challenging deadlines in order to maintain regular drumbeat of quality coverage Dealing reactively to enquiries from a wide range of journalists in a timely and appropriate way Creating strong relationships with key media and influencers Support provision of advice to management and key business stakeholders on appropriate media actions in relation to specific announcement, activities or events. Who you are At least 5 years’ experience within a highly rated agency or an in-house External Communications department Dynamic, self-motivated and clear communicator with the ability to get to act quickly and with clarity of thought Strong writing and editing skills Experience of working in a collegiate way with colleagues and/or agencies – especially with other disciplines (e.g props / brand) Demonstrate Vodafone role model behaviours Educated to degree level or equivalent Experience in TMT sector Strong media contacts Good understanding of social media channels Worried that you don’t meet all the desired criteria exactly?
