What you\’ll do
Location: Paddington or Newbury
You will lead the strategic planning, operational governance, and cultural engagement of Vodafone\’s Global Cloud Engineering function, driving alignment with Vodafone\’s Technology & Digital objectives. This role ensures seamless execution of key initiatives through stakeholder collaboration, executive coordination, and a world-class communication strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Strategy & Roadmaps
- Develop and implement the Cloud Engineering strategy, annual plan / roadmap, and OKRs in alignment with Vodafone\’s Technology & Digital objectives.
- Support the cascade and alignment of objectives and drive the completion of goals in line with our strategic plan
- Drive global initiatives and monitor progress through KPIs.
Executive Coordination & Event Leadership
- Manage the Head of Cloud Engineering\’s calendar, prioritizing SLT/EXCO engagements, QBRs, and industry events.
- Plan and execute high-impact forums (e.g., Operations Reviews, Business Reviews, external engagements, keynote speeches, market reviews, All Hands), including logistics, briefing materials, and stakeholder alignment.
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
- Act as a liaison between Cloud Engineering, Digital teams, and senior leaders to unblock dependencies and drive decisions.
- Reinvent communication strategies to foster global collaboration and cultural change.
Culture & Recognition
- Design initiatives to boost team engagement (e.g., Spirit Beat Score), inclusion, and innovation.
- Lead awards submissions and industry competition participation for external recognition.
Recruitment & Resourcing
- Partner with HR to align FTE headcount and insourcing with annual forecasts.
Who you are
- Strategic Planning: Ability to translate complex goals into actionable roadmaps. Ability to translate operational issues to strategic levels
- Executive Support: Expertise in managing senior leaders\’ calendars, event logistics, and cross-functional coordination.
- Communication: Exceptional PowerPoint/Word/Excel skills; adept at crafting executive narratives.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to navigate global, matrixed environments with diplomacy.
- Technical Acumen: Understanding of cloud, DevOps, and modern software delivery (technical delivery experience a plus).
- Leadership: Resilient, innovative, and results-driven with impeccable organisational skills, consistently delivering quality work
