What will you be doing?
The office of the VF Consumer Head of Digital, Go To Market and Risk is looking for an Operational Excellence Manager. The role will be responsible for the management, optimization and execution of the Digital, Go To Market and Risk (DGR) team’s operating expenditure and third-party system management, to improve overall operational effectiveness of team, ensure compliance and meet improvement targets in line with strategic company objectives. The role reports in the DGR Business Manager.
Key accountabilities:
- Establish improved tracking and reporting mechanism for DGR operational expenditure.
- Manage team’s overall operational expenditure, ensuring accurate tracking of actual spend and forecasting vs annual Detailed Budget (DB), collaborating closely with key partners like VOIS, Accenture, Ricoh, Finance and HR BP.
- Manage regular operational tasks related to Opex and third-party contracts. This includes accurate and timely processing of Purchase Orders in line with forecasting, tracking of capitalisable overhead targets vs actuals, as well as the support of internal teams and third parties with operational queries.
- Regularly review third party systems used by team and lead conversations and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders for the renewal of third-party contracts, changed business requirements with regards to third party systems, contract changes and required system migrations.
- Identify efficiencies and manage any risks/ opportunities related to operational expenditure and third-party systems to meet improvement targets and comply with VF policies. This includes the support of the Shadow IT programme.
- Lead on the annual bottom-up team Opex DB submission, working closely with DGR leadership team, to capture requirements, collaborating closely with wider internal and external parties.
- Continuously identify and implement opportunities to optimize, automate and simplify processes, governance and reporting around Opex and third-party system management.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and key stakeholders on actual operational spend vs DB, risks and opportunities.

- Background and proven experience in financial management / accountancy.
- Excellent numeric and analytical abilities, with a focus on identifying financial opportunities and risks.
- Experience in stakeholder Management and strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Experience with automation in Power BI.
- Excellent Excel and PPT skills.
The following are desired competencies:
- Experience with AI tools.
- Experience in shaping, driving and managing process and improvement activities.
- Experience in procurement/ relationship management of external parties desirable.
