Role Overview
As our In-House Lawyer, you’ll provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice that helps teams move quickly while managing risk in the right way. Reporting to the General Counsel, you’ll own the end-to-end lifecycle of VoCoVo’s commercial contracts, supporting both customer and supplier agreements. You’ll work closely with Sales, Finance, IT, Product, and Operations to unblock deals, strengthen governance, and continuously improve how we contract as a scaling technology business. This role is ideal for a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys variety, collaboration, and being close to the business — from negotiating SaaS agreements to supporting procurement and improving legal processes that enable growth.
Please note, to apply for this position you must be based in the UK and have the legal right to work in the UK.
What we’re looking for

- You’ll be confident working directly with stakeholders across the business, translating legal complexity into clear, actionable advice.
- You’re organised, calm under pressure, and motivated by helping teams do their best work — especially during busy deal cycles.
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) in commercial or technology law (in-house or private practice).
- Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating B2B contracts (SaaS, MSAs, DPAs, NDAs, supplier agreements).
- Solid understanding of commercial risk, liability frameworks, and contract governance.
- Familiarity with data protection, information security, and confidentiality provisions.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Nice to have
- Experience with CLM systems and contract metadata management.
- Working knowledge of GDPR, ISO, or similar compliance frameworks.
- Exposure to enterprise customer contracting.
- Experience in a technology, SaaS, or telecoms business.
- Interest in process improvement, playbooks, and legal enablement.
What you’ll do
- Provide timely, pragmatic legal advice on commercial and procurement matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate customer, partner, and supplier contracts.
- Maintain and evolve contract templates, playbooks, and clause libraries.
- Support scalable procurement and contract governance processes.
- Ensure contracts meet company policy, data protection, and security requirements.
- Partner closely with Sales, Finance, IT, Product, Security, and Operations to resolve issues quickly.
- Support rollout and adoption of the CLM system, including renewal tracking.
- Deliver internal training and self-serve enablement for non-legal teams.
- Support the General Counsel with broader legal and compliance initiatives as VoCoVo scales.

- Cycle2Work Scheme.
- Electric car green salary sacrifice scheme.
- Enhanced Maternity & Paternity package.
