Located on the architectural street of Royal Terrace in Edinburgh with stunning city views and walking distance to Edinburgh Waverly Station. We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Financial Controller to join our Truly Talented team.

The Role:

As an Assistant Financial Controller, you will be responsible for supporting the hotel’s financial objectives. Assisting with the production of budgets and financial statements and ensuring an efficient, accurate financial and administrative hotel finance operation.

The core skills and experience required to succeed:

  • A structured approach to business planning and management
  • Experience in challenging costs
  • Experience in a similar role with experience in supporting with the production of financial statements and budgets
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HR information systems
  • Proven ability to diagnose problems with critical thinking skills, as well as drive appropriate solutions with initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong command of spoken and written English
  • Strong organisational skills developed in a fast paced environment
  • Sound understanding of the legal framework in relation to finance operations
  • Previous experience in a hotel or related environment preferred but not essential
  • Results focused with an overwhelming desire to succeed
