Requirements:
- Experience leading both development and operations environments
- Experience owning incident management and support, as well as engineering and deployment practices
- Ability to manage significant change, including team integration and migration from legacy to cloud platforms
- Experience retraining developers and sysops during a technology transition
- Experience working in or moving from a legacy environment to a modern cloud stack
Responsibilities:
- Lead both an Ops team and an Engineering team and initially combine them into a DevOps function
- Manage the ongoing development and maintenance of the businesss core product
- Own incident management and support, along with engineering and deployment practices
- Work with the CTO and other technical teams to begin breaking up the product and migrating it to a modern cloud stack
- Lead team integration and support the migration of services from legacy systems to cloud platforms
- Retrain developers and sysops as part of the transition
- Over time, migrate the entire product away from the current environment
- Ultimately own the core product and DevOps team in the new modern environment
