About the Role
This role involves supporting a small pre-nursery class of 15 pupils, working alongside an experienced Early Years team to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for children at the very beginning of their educational journey. The successful candidate will support children's learning through play, contribute to observations and assessments, and help promote social, emotional, and communication development.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning within the pre-nursery setting.
- Assist with observations, assessments, and learning records.
- Promote learning through play and exploration.
- Support children's personal, social, and emotional development.
- Encourage communication and language development.
- Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and engaging learning environment.
- Support indoor and outdoor learning activities.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents.
- Contribute to children's wellbeing and development.
Requirements
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential).
- Previous experience working within an Early Years setting.
- Good understanding of child development and the EYFS Framework.
- Experience supporting observations and assessments.
- Positive, nurturing, and patient approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
