Primary School Teaching Assistant – Wembley Area (Term-Time Only) KS1 General TA position. Vocational Recruitment is delighted to be working exclusively with a welcoming and community-focused Primary School in Brent to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for one of their Year 1 classes. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone passionate about education to secure a stable, rewarding role supporting children's learning from January 2026. This is a Term-Time Only position, allowing you to align your working pattern with school holidays.

  • Location: Primary School in Wembley, North West London.
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, typically 8:30 am – 3:45 pm.
  • Full-time, Term-Time Only (starting ASAP).
  • Pay Rate: £90 per day, upwards depending on experience and qualifications.

You will support the class teacher in managing the classroom environment, assisting with learning activities and providing direct support to pupils. We are looking for motivated individuals with a passion for working with children.

  • We welcome applications from candidates who have experience working with children in any capacity – this could include previous school roles, nurseries, youth clubs, tutoring, sports coaching or volunteering.
  • Any additional skills or experience in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) would be a significant advantage.
  • Reliability, punctuality and a positive, patient attitude.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
