Fire & Security: Small Works & Reactive Engineer

VOCA Fire Protection are recruiting for an experienced Fire & Security Small Works & Reactive Engineer to service our clients across Newcastle Upon Tyne and surrounding areas. Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fire and Security Small Works & Reactive Engineer to join the VOCA Fire Protection reactive and small works team. This role will be supporting a variety of disciplines that directly support our clients as part of our service and maintenance contracts. Types of contracts will include pharmacy chains, cinema groups, care homes, and residential properties.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, approachable, and capable of working effectively independently. To be successful in this role, you must welcome opportunities to work with innovative systems and products, demonstrate expertise across multiple disciplines, and maintain high standards in all aspects of your work. The successful candidate must be capable of fault finding and be able to work under pressure to ensure that deadlines are achieved. Being in a position of responsibility and privilege, you must be trustworthy and honest in your conduct and provide excellent quality when installing fire and security systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure works are carried out to a high standard.
- Be respectful and friendly with other team members (remotely) and Newcastle based clients.
- Communicate daily with the service and senior management teams.
- Carry out process of elimination and other fault-finding activities.
- Conduct routine maintenance visits.
- Undertake small works and finish to a high standard.
- Basic commissioning.
- Complete detailed job reports.
- Assist other team members when required.
- Identify company improvements and voice your opinion.

Location
Newcastle Upon Tyne and surrounding areas; occasionally you may be asked to travel further distance, and overnight stays are a possibility; however, this is very limited and is down to the engineer’s discretion.
Working hours
Working hours are flexible due to the nature of the business; the candidate will be expected to meet clients and scheduling requests.
