VNI Legal are delighted to be working with a strong Scottish law firm who are looking to recruit an experienced Private Client solicitor to join their successful team in Edinburgh. It is the chance to join a collaborative and motivated team where you will be focusing on all elements of private client work.
This is an opportunity to join a long standing, full service law firm who are market leaders in their fields. You will join a large and successful Private Client team based in Edinburgh but also be supported by the wider firm. You will have the chance to continue to develop your experience as well as being able to run your own matters from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities- Managing a caseload and advising clients on a wide range of private client issues such as Wills, Powers of Attorney, Tax Planning, Executries, Trusts and Guardianship
- Meeting with clients on a daily basis – face to face and via telephone
- Drafting legal documents
- Keeping regular contact with clients by telephone, email and general correspondence
- Management of own case load; Proactively progressing transactions and obtaining information from external parties to ensure efficiency and excellent service delivery.
- Assisting other members of the team, working collaboratively to promote the environment of trust and support.
- Experienced in Private Client work
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise
- Ability to use own initiative and seek guidance from supervisors when appropriate
- Excellent client care skills and ability to manage client expectations
