VNI Finance is delighted to be working exclusively on behalf of a high-growth international technology business to appoint a Group Accountant to their expanding finance team.

The business operates globally across the UK, Europe, APAC and North America and offers a modern, flexible and collaborative working environment.

Ideal for a qualified accountant looking to step into a varied role with strong exposure and progression potential within a scaling international business.

Role Overview

  • Ownership of the financial records across Group entities
  • Ensure Group accounting policies remain compliant with relevant GAAP standards
  • Preparation and review of monthly P&L, balance sheet, consolidation and cash flow reconciliations to audit-ready standard
  • Deliver detailed monthly analysis of actuals versus budget with clear commentary around key variances
  • Support annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes
  • Business partner with stakeholders across the organisation, supporting operational and commercial decision making
  • Preparation of monthly consolidated financial reporting packs for senior finance leadership
  • Ownership of payroll across the Group, coordinating with local advisors to ensure accurate and timely processing
  • Lead the fieldwork and financial preparation elements of the annual Group audit process
  • Preparation and coordination of statutory accounts and annual reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions
  • Prepare and submit VAT, corporate tax and other statutory filings, while liaising with overseas advisors where required
  • Drive finance best practice, process improvements and continuous enhancement initiatives
  • Support the Financial Controller and wider finance leadership team with ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives

Candidate Background

  • Fully qualified accountant (ICAS / ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • Previous experience within a broad finance role covering reporting, reconciliations and month-end close
  • Strong systems capability β€” Xero experience advantageous but not essential
  • Comfortable analysing and reconciling large, complex and multi-currency data sets
  • Commercially minded with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful insight
  • Strong organisational and time management skills within deadline-driven environments
  • Naturally inquisitive with strong problem-solving capability
  • Collaborative and hands-on approach with willingness to support across multiple areas
  • Previous international or multi-entity exposure beneficial
