VNI Finance is delighted to be working exclusively on behalf of a high-growth international technology business to appoint a Group Accountant to their expanding finance team. The business operates globally across the UK, Europe, APAC and North America and offers a modern, flexible and collaborative working environment. Ideal for a qualified accountant looking to step into a varied role with strong exposure and progression potential within a scaling international business.
Role Overview
- Ownership of the financial records across Group entities
- Ensure Group accounting policies remain compliant with relevant GAAP standards
- Preparation and review of monthly P&L, balance sheet, consolidation and cash flow reconciliations to audit-ready standard
- Deliver detailed monthly analysis of actuals versus budget with clear commentary around key variances
- Support annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes
- Business partner with stakeholders across the organisation, supporting operational and commercial decision making
- Preparation of monthly consolidated financial reporting packs for senior finance leadership
- Ownership of payroll across the Group, coordinating with local advisors to ensure accurate and timely processing
- Lead the fieldwork and financial preparation elements of the annual Group audit process
- Preparation and coordination of statutory accounts and annual reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- Prepare and submit VAT, corporate tax and other statutory filings, while liaising with overseas advisors where required
- Drive finance best practice, process improvements and continuous enhancement initiatives
- Support the Financial Controller and wider finance leadership team with ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives
Candidate Background
- Fully qualified accountant (ICAS / ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Previous experience within a broad finance role covering reporting, reconciliations and month-end close
- Strong systems capability β Xero experience advantageous but not essential
- Comfortable analysing and reconciling large, complex and multi-currency data sets
- Commercially minded with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful insight
- Strong organisational and time management skills within deadline-driven environments
- Naturally inquisitive with strong problem-solving capability
- Collaborative and hands-on approach with willingness to support across multiple areas
- Previous international or multi-entity exposure beneficial
