Finance Business Partner in Glasgow

VNI Finance is currently supporting a Glasgow-based FMCG business looking to appoint an experienced Finance Business Partner with a strong costing background.

With the business placing increased strategic focus on margin performance and cost control, this role will play a key part in supporting operational decision-making.

It is therefore envisaged that the successful candidate will come from a high-volume, low-margin environment. This role will sit close to operations and play a key role in protecting and improving product margins across the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong costing experience looking to work in a commercially focused manufacturing environment.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Ownership of product costing and margin analysis across multiple product lines
• Analyse material, labour and overhead cost variances
• Partner with production, procurement and supply chain teams
• Provide insight around production efficiency, yield and cost control
• Support inventory valuation, stock reporting and cost forecasting

We are keen to speak with candidates who have:

• Experience within FMCG, food & drink, manufacturing or other high-volume environments
• Strong understanding of standard costing and margin analysis
• Experience operating in low-margin operational businesses
