Pay: Β£20.00 PAYE per hour

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract: Initial 12-week contract

Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:00pm

Maintenance Plumber – Housing Repairs

/n

VNA Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Plumber to join a busy repairs and maintenance team within a large housing organisation covering Loughborough and the wider Leicestershire area.

/n

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Plumber with experience in reactive repairs, property maintenance or social housing who is looking for consistent full-time work.

/n

You will be carrying out day-to-day plumbing repairs across occupied and vacant residential properties, diagnosing faults and completing repairs to a high standard.

/n

As you will regularly be working in residents' homes, we are looking for someone who combines strong practical plumbing skills with a professional, respectful and customer-focused approach.

/n

There is also potential for the contract to be extended or for the position to become permanent.

/n

The Role

/n

As a Maintenance Plumber, your responsibilities will include:

/n

/n
- Carrying out reactive plumbing repairs across residential properties
/n
- Attending occupied and vacant homes throughout the local area
/n
- Diagnosing plumbing faults and identifying the appropriate repair
/n
- Completing day-to-day plumbing maintenance and remedial works
/n
- Repairing and replacing plumbing fixtures and fittings as required
/n
- Responding efficiently to maintenance requests and repair jobs
/n
- Ensuring repairs are completed correctly and to a high standard
/n
- Working across multiple properties as part of a busy repairs service
/n
- Identifying any additional maintenance issues during property visits
/n
- Working closely with the wider repairs and maintenance team
/n
- Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety
/n
- Keeping residents informed about works being carried out
/n
- Providing a professional and respectful service within residents' homes
/n
- Ensuring properties and work areas are left clean and tidy following repairs
/n

About You

/n

To be considered for this position, you should have:

/n

/n
- Strong practical plumbing experience
/n
- Previous experience carrying out reactive repairs and maintenance
/n
- A recognised plumbing qualification or significant relevant industry experience
/n
- Good plumbing fault-finding and diagnostic skills
/n
- Ability to identify appropriate repairs and complete them efficiently
/n
- Strong practical problem-solving ability
/n
- Pride in the quality and finish of your work
/n
- Ability to work independently and manage your daily workload
/n
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
/n
- Good communication and customer service skills
/n
- Ability to work professionally within occupied residential properties
/n
- Ability to work effectively as part of a busy repairs and maintenance team

Desirable Experience
