Looking for a Paviour/Ground Worker to carry out the operational work involved in the maintenance, repair and upkeep of carriageways, footpaths, drainage systems and associated items. This a temporary position lasting around 3 months to start on 16th December. If things go well, there may be an opportunity for this to extend. Duties: Lay paving and kerbs To construct, reinstate or erect: new gullies and manholes, including working in confined spaces and using breathing apparatus if required To repair damaged gullies and manholes, including working in confined spaces and using breathing apparatus if required Fit/repair soak away systems Drainage and connection of drainage systems Kerbs, edgings, blocks and paving slabs Street furniture, signs, seats, barriers etc Requirements: Health & Safety including Manual Handling and COSHH awareness and confined space working – desirable Current City & Guilds Certificate in Street works or relevant work experience – desirable Tarmac experience – desirable Full UK Driving Licence – Essential Monday to Friday 07:30 – 15:30 …
