VNA Education is working with a high-performing secondary school to recruit a committed Teaching Assistant to support students within mainstream classrooms and a highly successful SEND/ASD provision. This is an excellent opportunity for an empathetic, proactive individual to play a key role in improving outcomes for vulnerable learners, and is well suited to both experienced TAs and graduates considering a future career in education.

The Role:

  • Support students 1:1 and in small groups across mainstream and SEND settings
  • Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to remove barriers to learning
  • Promote independence, confidence and positive behaviour
  • Assist with classroom preparation, interventions and differentiated support
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience supporting SEND, ASD or EAL learners (desirable, not essential)
  • Calm, patient and highly reliable with a caring approach
  • Confident working independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong communication skills and positive behaviour management
  • Passionate about supporting young people to succeed
