VNA Education is working with a high‑performing secondary school to appoint an exceptional Head of Sociology to lead a popular and successful GCSE and A‑Level provision. This is a significant opportunity for an ambitious Sociology specialist to provide strategic subject leadership, shape curriculum intent and implementation, and drive consistently strong outcomes across KS4 and KS5.
The Role
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for Sociology.
- Lead curriculum design, sequencing and assessment at GCSE and A‑Level.
- Drive high standards of teaching, learning and achievement.
- Use data and research to identify gaps and secure rapid improvement.
- Develop, support and hold colleagues to account through coaching and mentoring.
- Contribute to wider faculty and whole‑school leadership, including potential Head of Faculty responsibility.
