We are seeking an experienced and dependable HGV Class 2 Driver to join our operational team.
The role involves driving and operating Category C vehicles safely and efficiently, completing planned collections and deliveries, and ensuring a professional service is always provided.
You will work across a range of locations and will need to demonstrate good judgement when dealing with busy sites, restricted access areas and unexpected situations on the road.
Safety, reliability and customer service are central to this position.
We are looking for someone who can work independently, manage their workload effectively and remain composed when faced with pressure or challenging circumstances.
Your Responsibilities
As part of the role, you will
- Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles in a safe, responsible and professional manner.
- Complete scheduled collections, deliveries and other assigned driving duties.
- Carry out accurate vehicle manoeuvres, including reversing and positioning vehicles in restricted or confined areas.
- Comply with road traffic legislation, company procedures and individual site requirements.
- Follow instructions and ensure work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Maintain a professional attitude when dealing with customers, colleagues and members of the public.
- Use sound judgement when faced with traffic incidents, delays, difficult circumstances or urgent situations.
- Always Work safely and contribute to maintaining a secure working environment.
- Use relevant ICT systems and equipment as required.
- Handle information responsibly and comply with applicable data protection procedures.
- Report operational, safety or vehicle-related issues through the appropriate channels.
You will also be expected to complete required training, participate in relevant development activities and undertake other reasonable duties appropriate to the level of the position.
