Who are we: VMS Vehicle Hire Ltd is part of the fast growing VMS Automotive Group offering a range of services comprising of Contract Hire & Fleet Management, Accident Management as well as offering Maintenance Services from our inhouse workshops and a leading provider of transport refrigeration systems, air conditioning solutions and converting panel vans into commercial, refrigerated vehicles. VMS Automotive operate nationwide with workshops and vehicle hire sites throughout the UK with our Head Office based in Stevenage and our Operations centre based in Bury St Edmunds. As a result of our continued growth, we are looking for additional team members to join our team to help us continue providing outstanding service to our customers. Job Requirements: Responsibility for ensuring that vehicles are delivered and collected to clients premises in a timely and efficient manner Ensuring vehicles prepared for delivery are thoroughly checked before delivery Preparing defleet and end of contract vehicles for resale Ensuring vehicles are parked appropriately within the yard and kept secure at all times Maintaining effective communication with the Depot office at all times Agreeing condition of vehicle with client on delivery or collection and completing paperwork and photography routines to support this using tablet device Liaising with client regarding delivery times and locations General assistance in the depot and yard as required Skills / Experience You will have a valid Driving Licence Ideally, you’ll have some basic mechanical knowledge and be the kind of person who responds to customers with the utmost care and attention, providing the highest level of service to contribute positively to the growth of the branch. You’ll be a great team player, assisting other team members in their roles when required. You will also be confident in driving a wide variety of different vehicle types.
