Vmoves are looking for individuals, with a can-do attitude, patience, an eye for detail and a true understanding of what customer service is.
We require Inspector Drivers to appraise a variety of vehicles and deliver them across the UK. Inspection experience would be an advantage but not necessary as full training is offered.
Vmoves are a family business with family values, we treat our drivers and office team fairly and respectfully. Our philosophy is to pay good rates in exchange for all members accepting ownership for their part in making each vehicle inspection and delivery a success. Good teamwork and considerate behaviour between each other and our customers are the corner stone of our success to date. There will always be good and bad days but you will receive the full support of our experienced office team (several who have done the job themselves) and we strive to achieve a good work-life balance for the drivers and office team alike.
You can expect daily payments to range between £80 – £120, dependent upon licence, region and number of vehicles inspected and delivered per day. We also pay up to £50 for overnight fees. This self-employed position allows you to be your own boss and to choose your own working days.
Vmoves also inspect, collect & deliver HGV’s nationwide. If you are looking to upgrade your licence, Vmoves have successfully financed and upgraded reliable self-employed contractors to the HGV division.
Beginning from home you will:
- Make independent travel arrangements to the inspection points
- Be ready to help and service our customers and be prepared just in case you need to stay out over night
When you arrive at the customer location you will:
- Inspect customer’s vehicles thoroughly – You may be required to inspect a batch of vehicles
- Record the vehicle condition and image damage using a smart phone which can be provided
- Be friendly, professional and assist the customer with any questions
- Ensure the customer is satisfied and ask them to sign the inspection report on the smart phone
- Drive the vehicle safely to its destination
At the end of the day:
- Depending on the plan either take your vehicle home or stay out overnight near to where your next inspection commences the following day
- Discuss your day with our planner and support team to ensure you are ready for the next day’s work

What do you need?
- A full driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points and with no DR, CD, DD or TT99 endorsement codes
- Off road parking i.e. garage/driveway at your registered address for those times you may take a vehicle home overnight
- Be presentable, flexible and have good communication skills
- The ability to conduct yourself in a professional manner
- A commitment to providing excellent customer service
- A valid driver CPC and Digi-tacho card (if applying for 7.5T work)
- The ability to pass a DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check.
