Project Manager with Commerce experience and a technical background required to join our eCommerce Team on a contract basis.
The opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in digital marketing and commerce solutions, particularly within the Adobe ecosystem. You will lead teams to deliver high-quality, complex digital transformation projects on budget and within specified timeframes, ensuring the successful implementation of Adobe Marketing and Commerce Solutions for our customers and system integration partners. You will play a crucial role in driving digital marketing and transformation initiatives, contributing significantly to our clients' success.
What you’ll be doing:
- Effectively run complex digital marketing and commerce projects using Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum).
- Lead teams in scoping activities to identify, gather, and analyze requirements, define key business drivers, and craft effective and innovative solutions using Adobe Marketing and Commerce Solutions.
- Manage the end-to-end project life cycle, including effort estimation, scope management, planning, monitoring, and execution (covering risks, budget, timeline, and reporting).
- Produce accurate status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, risks, and issues, communicating effectively to various audiences including key stakeholders and sponsors.
- Manage several workstreams successfully, ensuring teams understand output and quality expectations, and manage interdependencies between them.
- Inspire and lead teams, suggesting process and practical improvements as appropriate, and motivate them to deliver high-quality outputs within agreed timeframes.
- Manage project resourcing and commercials, including forecasting, time management, and invoicing.
- Ensure projects are delivered to high-quality standards and aid customers in improving Adobe solutions by understanding their challenges and crafting innovative, measurable solutions.
- Foster close relationships with senior management and business stakeholders, developing customer confidence by understanding their needs and delivering first-class solutions.
- Set and manage client expectations, including resolving client escalations with diplomacy.
- Chair meetings/reviews with multiple stakeholder requirements.
- Keep up to date with emerging industry practices in digital marketing and Adobe solutions.
- Actively participate in PMO practice development and contribute to the One Adobe experience by collaborating with other Adobe teams.
What we want from you:
- Project management experience in the industry, with a proven track record in software development project management.
- Strong foundational project management skills delivering digital marketing implementation projects for a software vendor or with a mixed vendor/customer background.
- Demonstrated project management experience with Digital Marketing & Automation, Campaign, or Content Management solutions.
- Proven experience in implementing Adobe solutions, specifically AEM, AEP, and ideally other solutions like Campaign and Commerce.
- Experience managing re-platforming projects and owning the cutover process.
- Proven experience of scope control within project delivery and delivering change to external stakeholders.
- Ability to handle large single projects or multiple concurrent smaller projects.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills, with expertise in risk management, prioritization, and delivering presentations up to the Executive level within an organization.
- A good understanding of the software development lifecycle and release management.
- Ability to define, manage, and deliver to customer expectations within strict deadlines.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, embrace, and react to change with enthusiasm and critical thinking.
- Experience of leading and managing teams at different stages of the team’s lifecycle.
- Experience of modern software development practices, strong understanding of agile delivery techniques (e.g. Scrum), and lean ways of working.
- Experience of managing people and financial budgets (including project budgeting, monitoring financials, reporting, etc.).
- Solid time management & organisational skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills and an ability to handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.
- A professional project management qualification and a business consulting background.
- Ability to work with virtual internal teams across geographies and time zones.
- Full fluency in English is essential; other European languages are a plus.
