The Medical Consulting team focuses on early engagement across a range of disciplines including Commercial, Medical Affairs, HEOR, Market Access, Clinical Development, Patient Advocacy & Policy teams – our clients include pharmaceutical, medical device and diagnostic companies alongside patient advocacy organizations and academic organizations.

The Medical Consulting team supports organisations to achieve more effective decision making through a focus on early and cross functional working, enhanced focus on patient engagement, and integrated planning and execution of value-based development, commercialisation projects and disease leadership programmes. We run a variety of global accounts involving close collaboration with our creative, digital, medical education, and marketing teams to bring creative solutions for clients as they move forward in development and launch of their assets.

This role is based in our London office with close collaboration across our core hubs and domestic teams.

About the role

We are looking for an Associate Management Consultant to provide client leadership, strategic consultancy & team management across a range of healthcare projects.

Working with members of the core leadership team, you will shape, develop and deliver effective content and programmes that meet client objectives, budgets, and timelines. In addition, you will contribute to organizational development, developing proposals and supporting with pitches, as well as mentoring and line managing junior members of the team.

Opportunity to work with a dynamic consulting team that engages with a wide range of clients & gain exposure to a broad range of disciplines across healthcare marketing from creative to customer experience.

Requirements

  1. A minimum of 3 to 4 years experience in a healthcare consulting role, as well as:
  2. Experience in managing clients, evaluating needs & creating bespoke approaches to client problems
  3. Ability to plan and prepare for strategic workshops and advisory boards with a range of stakeholders including pharmaceutical clients and their key customers (HCPs, Advocates, Payers etc.)
  4. Experience in conducting both primary and secondary research and interpreting findings to create research reports and client recommendations
  5. Demonstrated aptitude for learning, interpreting, and communicating scientific and medical information and written outputs, adapted for a range of different audiences
  6. Strong evidence of leadership and role model behaviours
  7. In-depth knowledge of the healthcare environment
  8. In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, and demonstrated ability to relate scientific understanding to a client’s strategic needs
  9. Proven ability to work well in a busy, deadline-driven environment
  10. Experience in business development and delivery of healthcare consultancy projects
  11. Commercial liaison with healthcare stakeholders and clients
  12. Running and managing client/ customer meetings, workshop & advisory boards
  13. Primary and secondary research, line management, and coaching
  14. Critical strategic thinking, project and process management skills
  15. Excellent communication skills, facilitation skills, and knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and health systems in UK, EU, US
  16. Qualifications: Degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences; postgraduate degree (PhD, MBA) preferred
