The opportunity:

We are seeking a highly driven and strategic Analytics Director to direct the strategy for analytic frameworks, oversee team skill development, and ensure the effective execution of analytics initiatives to drive actionable business insights. This role is crucial for fostering a data-driven culture within Gain Theory and maximizing the impact of our analytical capabilities. This individual will report to the Head of Analytics. As an Analytics Director you will lead a team of analysts, providing strategic direction for analytical frameworks, overseeing team development, and ensuring the effective execution of analytics initiatives to drive actionable business insights for our clients.
What you\’ll be doing:

  1. Framework Development & Adoption: Establish and champion robust analytical frameworks, methodologies, and best practices across the organization. Ensure consistent application of modeling standards and quality control.
  2. Team Leadership & Development: Lead, manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of analysts. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, prioritizing individual growth and career development. Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training opportunities.
  3. Project Management & Delivery: Oversee the execution of multiple client projects, ensuring timely delivery, accuracy, and adherence to budget. Manage project timelines, resources, and communication with stakeholders.
  4. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and providing strategic guidance on analytical approaches and insights. Present findings and recommendations to clients in a clear and compelling manner.
  5. Innovation & Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging analytical techniques. Identify opportunities to innovate and enhance our analytical offerings, contributing to Gain Theory\’s thought leadership in the marketing effectiveness space.
  6. Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including data science, client growth, and other practice areas. Communicate complex analytical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  7. Commercial Acumen: Contribute to the commercial success of Gain Theory by identifying opportunities to expand our client base and service offerings.

What we want from you:

  1. 5-7+ years of experience in an analytical leadership role, preferably within marketing analytics, consulting, or a related field.
  2. Deep understanding of analytical and modeling methodologies, including MMM, attribution, econometrics, and other advanced techniques.
  3. Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop high-performing analytical teams.
  4. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  5. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  6. Proven project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  7. Proficiency in statistical software packages (e.g., R, Python) and data visualization tools.
  8. Bachelor\’s or Master\’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Mathematics).
