The opportunity: We are looking for an ambitious, confident, detail-oriented UI Design Lead who wants to work at the forefront of digital design, working within a cross-functional creative team to improve user experience and ultimately increase conversion.

This role is ideal for a strong individual with experience in e-commerce, who is passionate about UI design. Someone that thinks conceptually and leads the execution of online visual identity as well as being skilled in conversion-led design for transactional websites.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Creating digital brand look and feel, design systems and pixel-perfect responsive interfaces for key clients, ensuring usability and accessibility standards are met.
  • Taking a systematic approach to design, anticipating future needs and building in flexibility and efficiency.
  • Showcasing a portfolio of online experiences across the whole customer journey.
  • Leading and supporting multiple designers to elevate and strengthen our UI Design offering.
  • Communicating the design process to clients from concept to solution, proactively owning problems and feedback.

What we want from you:

  • Design excellence and leadership: Demonstrable eCommerce experience, skilled in standard software: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, creative yet meticulous, detail-oriented with a keen sense of craftsmanship, enjoys leading designers to help them create their best work, willing to adapt and take on new challenges.
  • Brand and design systems: Experience creating, evolving and developing brand identity, understanding and able to create and theme design systems for brands.
  • Approach: Great attitude, strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, ability to manage own projects and work quickly and accurately to tight deadlines, able to multi-task and perform well under pressure, excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Presentation: Leading design on key accounts with senior stakeholders, presenting concepts and owning design decisions, comfortable pitching as part of a wider team, enthusiastic, self-confident and self-motivated.
  • Experience: Working at a number of digital/creative agencies and/or in-house design studios, degree educated in Graphic design/UI or similar discipline, breadth of experience across sectors/audiences, compelling portfolio demonstrating high-quality design online, including eCommerce.
